I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
